WretchUp, a sonic instrument born from the creative minds at Mouse on Mars Instruments, has been featured in the duo's live performances. Crafted as a playable effect drawing inspiration from analog hardware, you can sing, speak, plug in an instrument, sample sounds, and unleash a world of sonic creativity.

Having undergone rigorous testing during Mouse on Mars' live shows and being a part of their studio albums, WretchUp is now accessible to all. Whether you seek to craft unique sounds as a musician or simply enjoy creating avant-garde noises that push boundaries, this instrument caters to both.

This innovative instrument showcases artwork by Rupert Smyth and incorporates a Pure Data-based open-source patch developed by Florian Grote and Peter Kirn in collaboration with Mouse on Mars. The app's design is credited to Oliver Greschke and operates on free and open-source software libpd.

Please note: To utilize mic-based effects effectively, enabling microphone input is required. In case of accidental mic input denial, you can re-enable it later through Device Settings → WretchUp → Data Settings → Microphone → Allow mic input.
